Unwind with ease and grace in this ongoing six-week yoga therapeutic series led by Debra Wolfe, certified Yoga Therapist.

This transformative program safely and effectively blends Alignment-based Yoga (Iyengar method), Yoga Therapy, and Evidence-backed practices to create a holistic, personalized pathway to optimal health and well-being. Debra integrates adaptable movement, restorative postures, trauma-informed practices, breathwork, and mindfulness to address the root causes of physical and emotional imbalance.


You will cultivate ease, stability, and resilience in your body, alongside a deep sense of self-compassion and self-love that carries out into your daily life.

This is a targeted, ongoing, therapeutic practice that moves beyond a general yoga class to meet your individual needs.


1. Therapeutic Alignment & Functional Movement

  • Meticulous Focus: Learn key movements like the 5 Tibetan Rites, modified Sun Salutations, and the Morning Series™ while being guided through positions in an anatomical position for safe and effective results. This emphasis on proper form may prevent injury, reduces strain, and improves your biomechanics for everyday activities.
  • Targeted Results: We’ll address common issues associated with aging, such as joint pain, loss of balance, reduced      flexibility, muscle weakness and memory loss, enhancing your ability to perform daily activities with greater safety and ease.
  • Accessible to All: Your practice is holistic and individualized, utilizing modifications and props (chairs, blocks, bolsters,      foams, straps, blankets, etc.) to ensure accessibility and support for all, no matter what your age, mobility or ability.


2. Mind-Body Connection & Emotional Well-being

  • Holistic Approach: Discover how postures, breathwork, and relaxation techniques not only enhance flexibility, strength, and balance, but simultaneously reducing stress, anxiety and depression.
  • Cultivating Self-Compassion & Self-Love: A core component is the intentional practice of treating yourself with kindness, non-judgment, and acceptance. This evidence-backed approach helps you navigate life’s challenges with greater emotional stability and builds inner resilience.
  • Supported by Science: Research (including studies on self-compassion by Dr. Kristin Neff) shows these practices reduce the stress hormone cortisol, improve cognitive function, and enhance your motivation to stick to healthy habits.

Private Sessions

Alignment-based Yoga Therapy empowers individuals to incorporate evidence-backed practices into one’s lifestyle to enhance overall health and well-being. Yoga is not a one-size-fits all modality. Therefore, the Alignment-based Yoga Therapy model takes into consideration every aspect of a person’s life, rather than only looking at a single symptom or condition. Additionally, yogic philosophy recognizes that when we have discomfort in one aspect of our health (e.g. back pain), it will manifest itself in other areas of our lives as well (e.g. mood, breathing patterns, social interactions, etc.). For this reason, Alignment-based Yoga Therapy takes a holistic, individual-centered approach to addressing an individual’s needs at every level.


All private yoga therapy sessions begin with a 90-minute consultation. During this session, we will discuss your history and lifestyle, any relevant conditions, injuries, or symptoms you may be experiencing, and the reasons you are pursuing Alignment-based Yoga Therapy. Furthermore, the consultation typically includes a physical evaluation to determine where musculoskeletal imbalance may be present in your body. Additionally, we will assess your breathing pattern to see the impact it may have on your physical, mental, and emotional levels. Lastly, taking all of this into account, we will develop specific and attainable goals.


Following the first session, I will provide you with a personalized plan of care. This is a home practice that you can do between sessions to help you achieve your goals.

Client responsibility: Alignment-based Yoga Therapy is not covered by insurance. All sessions are to be paid in cash or check. If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so within 24 hours. Failure to do so may result in a 50% service charge.

• 90-minute Yoga Therapy Assessment $150

• 1-hour Single Yoga Therapy follow-up session: $120
